Deep dive into the brand new unlimited graphic design agency, Graphic Plus

Founders 🧑‍💼👩‍💼

This doesn't seem to be the first rodeo for @santhiaroo & @Gerald. From my research it seems they are seasoned pros in the unlimited graphic design space having started Reel Unlimited in Oct. of 2021.

Both founders seem to spend more time working on the business that social media so details are a bit hard to find but @santhiaroo shares the most details. This could be why across all of their business they are reaching the 20K MRR mark with goals to reach 25K MRR by the end of the year.

Code as marketing 📈

One marketing plan that caught my eye was the website Service Ok. Service Ok is run by the Reel team but instead of stopping at only recommending their own products the founders have setup affiliate links for all of their competition. Not only do I love this strategy but I might steal it for my own business, I use code as marketing but not in this way.

Tech Stack 📽

The Graphic Plus website is minimal and clean so I set off to find out what the tech stack is that drives the front-end of this business. To my surprise it seems to be powered by Webflow. I've never used Webflow in the past but it might be something that I need to checkout. The UI is clean and gets to the point without being overwhelming.

Unsure what they are using on the backend for management of requested work from customers, but let's assume some off the shelf project management tool. Since in my mind it doesn't make any sense to build something to handle this as that is not your core competence, and that wouldn't be a bad thing in this case even email would work just fine.

Price 🤑

Given that the marketing copy on the website calls out that Graphic Plus is the "most affordable" unlimited graphic design agency starting at $129 for the first month one has to start thinking about making the switch from their current provider. It makes sense in my mind since you have to assume that team from Unlimited Reels is using the same staff for both projects.

I would assume the catch is that they are using Graphic Plus to supplement and add additional work to the team hoping to fill up everyones hours and as the work becomes overwhelming they will work to raise the prices. This is slightly concerning long run but I'm a cross that bridge when you get there kinda guy.

Outlook 🍾

I've been bullish in this space for awhile thinking that a lower cost competitor could come in and disrupt the industry 🧨. This is great for consumers, more choice always lowers the price. Given the current growth rate that I can determine based on Indie Hacker post and Twitter announcements. I would project that this team continues to grow and will being a great player in the space. The founders are humble and will work to push the business forward in a great way. This time next year they will be knocking on the door of 500K ARR if not over that goal.

Take away & learnings 📓

Services business can be a cash cow, but a services business with just the right amount of technology can setup you and your team for hyper growth. I'll definitely be adding to my code as marketing from this deep dive and looking for ways in my own SAAS to benefit from this new idea. The only thing I offer is that the team could use some sort of simple logo, business card, or something to that effect generator to also use code to bring in more business, other than that the team just needs to keep focused on executing on the internal plan they have laid out.
