π€« I have a confession, and its not what you think! π€¨
π₯ Some of you joined this newsletter from a facebook ad, I stole that ad idea and lets see why!
We have talked in the past about newsletter growth and how to build a newsletter business even just this week. However some of you signed up for this newsletter because of an advertisement on a Meta platform. I completely stole this ad from some very smart people and lets see that ad and understand why.

π Why This Ad?
This ad converts & is a proven winner for many large brands. I discovered that similar copy was actually being run for multiple of the largest newsletters currently in the market today. I gave it a try for Get Ramen π & discovered that yes this ad does in fact convert well at a surprisingly low CAC, sub $2.00.

π€ Why the ad was turned off?
Over the course of building a business you will experiment with different ads especially while your first starting. What we found in the end was that this ad was working well however wasnβt targeting the exact type of reader we wanted for this community at the exact rate we wanted, basically it had low engagement at times. Over the course of building your business you will have to make choices and in growing this newsletter we want the highest quality subscriber, just like you, and in order to do that it sometimes means paying a bit more in CAC, because quality customers are worth it.

Donβt be afraid to read online and wrap up the best ideas into your own package. This not only helps you when starting out a project but could lead you to find a change that works for your business & while ultimately the above ad didnβt work for the goals I had for this newsletter it did help me find a winning ad that brings in the perfect reader, you!
